Convention Centre

The competition organised by the Board of Architects of Argentina aimed to generate a 750 seat multi-mode performance building that enables the development of cultural activities. This crafted design has the ability to be configured for the requirements of the local community.

From an urban point of view, the building was designed to consolidate a new pole of centrality in the deteriorated area, opposite to what can be expected in the harsh Australian coastline, adding an unique urban piece recovering and enhancing the central area of the precinct.

The building was designed to increase the facilities dedicated to Culture and Education and attracted a lot of interest from both, Australian and NZ visitors.
